Highland Local & WKA Competiton Team Workouts
Wednesday - 5:30 - 6:30 - Competition Team Continuous Sparring. & Kata. These practices are aimed at students who would like to learn advanced sparring & kata. The intent of our local team is to let our students train and prepare for competition at Novice and Intermediate levels. If you are interested in becoming part of our Local team please contact us at the dojo or come out to a practice. It is mandatory that students have at least 3 months training beforehand with Highland Karate.
Monday & Wednesday @ 8:00 pm.. Traditional Wado Kai Sparring & training. Shindo Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu & grappling training..

Rules and Regulations for Highland Mixed Martial Arts
Dojo Rules & Regulations
Each student must thoroughly understand the code of conduct, the tenants and club ethics, as follows.
Be on time for your class.
If you are late for your class obtain permission from the dojo instructor before entering.
Always bow before entering and leaving the dojo floor area.
Always bow when approaching or leaving the presence of a black belt.
All black belts are called Sensei in any area of the dojo.
Make sure that your karate equipment is with you when coming to the dojo and that it is kept in a safe and clean condition.
Your uniform should be clean and presentable for class.
Remove your shoes before entering the dojo and place them on the shoe rack provided.
Food or drink is not permitted on the dojo floor.
Use the containers around the dojo to dispose of garbage.
Always put equipment away at the end of each class and make sure the dojo is left clean.
Report any injury that you have to the dojo instructor before class or if it has happened during training.
Refrain from any running in the dojo unless instructed to do so.
Refrain from any vulgarity in the dojo.
No type of free style sparring is allowed in the dojo unless the proper safety equipment is worn.
No type of free style sparring is allowed in the dojo unless supervised by a qualified instructor.
Remove all jewelry from your person that may cause an injury to yourself or other students before class starts.
Never take any equipment out of the dojo unless obtaining permission from head instructor.
Do not use your karate techniques outside of the dojo aggressively at any time.
Coats and gym bags are to be taken to the change rooms not left in the reception area of the dojo.
Do not enter behind the counter area of the dojo, this is for staff only.
Never leave the dojo floor for any reason unless given permission by the instructing black belt.
All students are to keep their personal hygiene up at all times.
Do not leave soiled uniforms in the dojo for your next class.
All instructors running a class must bow in a senior belt who comes present on the floor. This procedure only needs to be done once.
If you sustain a bleeding injury, stay calm and in place until someone can assist you in controlling the bleeding.
If the instructor is not present, the senior student will start the class when it is time.
All students must follow the instructions of a higher belt.
During the training session students must work with a silent and serious attitude.
No Horseplay in the dojo at any time.
Movement is an essential part of training in the dojo, students must respond quickly to the instructor when given direction.
All students must respond to a senior belt when given instructions with the proper verbal replies.
